question about warranty
Just a quick question about the factory warranty,
i about to change the oil in my car, and my Honda mech friend is willing to do it for me, but am i gonna loose the factory warranty if i let him do it?!
(engine/tranny oil and oil filter will all from the dealer he is working at. at least this time...)
sorry for posting this right here.

That should not and can not void the warranty for having someone else other than dealer change your oil and filter. I have always worked on my cars doing the minor maintenance stuff and never heard that they would void my car warranty, unless I was to brake something and then try to claim it as warranty repair.
You might also want to keep a log of what you did, when you did it.
I use recipe books, or small ledgers to record with. They are small enough I could keep them in the car if I needed to, and durable enough to not get ruined in my garage (which is where I keep them)
Can also be good for when you last waxed the car, or when you rotated tires got new ones, or when you added brake fluid.
Put the receipts in the pages corresponding to the work you did, and you now have a pretty good history of the car.
The hardest part is remembering to actually do all that.

You do have to document that the recommended services were performed...
Record date/mileage/service performed and keep receipts for fluids, filters, etc. that you use. You should be fine.
