"Goof Off" or "Goo Gone"

Both pretty common items.

I used 3M Adhesive Remover. Works very well on most things.

Okay, another tape question...
How many of you have taken the tape off only to realize Honda didn't paint that area too well? Maybe w/ some primer visable or only a light paint coat? Or have all of you had good results with the paint underneath? I've heard rumors that Honda didn't put much paint on that area because they were going to put the tape on it so now I'm scared to take the tape off til I know more. Right now, I don't have the money to have that area painted if it's not painted well already. I have an 01 NFR.

Thanks,
Warren

I don't see how this would make sense. Alot of markets in the world don't even have the sticker over the frame. Honda doesn't paint the cars for each market. They just ship certain colors to certain markets. They're not going to change the paint line just because US cars get tape on them and others don't.

I seem to recall some old threads where this was the case.

the older the car, the harder it will be to remove because the adhesive has cured under heat, etc. use wd40, if u got it and a credit card.

When I took of my windshield tape, there as a small section were the paint was a little scuff up. No big deal and nothing a little wet sanding didn't fix.
