A question about windshield tape!

Well I just went ahead and did it.. and BTW, there would be no way to put the tape back on without removing the seals both fore and aft of the tape, the tape was UNDER the gasket sealant in places.. which made kind of a black sticky mess.
The tape reside was a PITA to remove.. I used tome ecotech cleaner/degreaser (didn't have any Goo-Gone) it made the residue easy to scrape off with a fingernail. There were 2 spots on the paint about the size of a quarter where Honda had sanded off paint imperfections. they polished right up by hand with some Pinnacle cleaner/polish.
I like it! it's quite possible no one but a fellow S2KI'r would ever notice the difference, but I think it looks a little more 'old school'.
