yeh to much of a risk. The paint on my car is flawless for a MY00 and if the windshield tape area was crappy yeh I'd be pissed!!

I think it only looks good if you have a hardtop.

I have some cratches on one corner where I removed mine but I think it's only cause I got a little too frisky with the Credit Card.

It should be fine underneath the tape. I actually took mine off 3 times and put it back on 3 times.
It takes about 30-45 minutes to install new tape.

Anyone who did this tape removal sorry they did it? I'm seriously considering it on my Solverstone MY04 but once I take it off, there's really no going back.. unless I want to paint it black again I guess. (No hardtop BTW)

the prob isn't them not painting but having bad areas of paint which are faded and need to be repainted or something. I'm happy with my silver and black

I took mine off on both side but left the middle one on it compliments my cf hood quite nicely
