Default Question on Compression test

Am ordering a pre inspection and wanted to perform a compression test and was told that the OBDII diagnostic tool would be able to tell whether there is low compression in any of the cylinders. Is that true?

Thanks

not on these cars. Rent a compression tester from autozone, remove all spark plugs and crank it on each cylinder.

I wouldn't want some idiot with a clipboard and a checklist to remove and reinstall spark plugs trying to do a compression test.
