I am at 3500 mi now and I am thinking of doing the change oil. I'm a little apprehensive because I have been told that the S2000 do come with a "break-in" oil from the factory. Any suggestions. I'm sure most of you guys have be through this same dilemma before, I just wanted to know how did y'all handle it.

Thanks,

I plan on changing mine at 5000. I'm not too worried. at 3500, oil is still fine. But if it makes yuo feel better, do change it.

I changed mine at 3500 miles, it was pretty dirty. I would suggest to do yours too.

I just changed mine at 6,000. The manual even states 7,500.

3000-4000 miles is the average....I personally would suggest changing it more often, like every 2000 miles. oil change doesnt cost that much...considering the car is driven for its revvvvv....just a personal opinion

Now, a newspaper doesn't cost very much, say 50 cents. But just because it doesn't cost very much, I don't buy a second, third, and fourth copy of the same newspaper every day. Really, one is enough.

And really, you don't need to change your oil until 6 months or 7500 miles, unless you are tracking your car.
