Question on test pipe.

Default Question on test pipe.

Hi, since the test pipe is just a straight pipe. i was just wondering can i custom the pipe myself ? will it work exactly the same ?
without the need to get a branded one ?

yes i had a custom one and it fit fine , there is a few little bends that need to be made just buy a megan non resonated t/p 100 with bolts and gaskets worth it to me .

I would just buy one.. There inexpensive and it would be less trouble. Also off of the header a round crush gasket is used. It might be hard getting the metal flange to the shape of it.

what does the hole on the test pipe do actually?

test pipe replaces the catalytic converter, which restricts the flow of exhaust gases. If you built one, you will need to include a threaded hole for the O2 sensor. Personally I think the time it will take you to make one of these (it not just a straight piece of pipe.. has built in gasket, flange, O2 hole, and a bend in the pipe) won't be worth the $100 you will save by not purchasing a quality unit.
