Default Question: vibrating sound in 1st and 3rd gear

Has anyone ever noticed a slight vibrating sound (around the shift knob) when your gears are in first or third gear? I tried to feel around the shift knob down to the leather wrapping but can't put my hand on exactly what it is although I do hear it from that area.

I am going to take out the shiftknob and the cover area this weekend and see what it may be.

Has anyone ever had this problem or know of a solution?

I have the OEM shift knob...2006 lbp s2000.

I am thinking that something may be loose since I took the cover and shift knob out a few weeks ago when replacing my headunit. Will check it again this weekend to make sure.

I just wanted to send out a message to see if any other folks have had the same problem or know of it?

Did you possibly forget to re-connect the emergency flashers or roof-open (not likely) when you re-installed? I did that last week and had a few DOH! moments after putting it back together.

I am going to check. I tried to test the roof open button w/ my oem hardtop on but it doesn't even move one bit...dunno if the hardtop disables it or maybe i forgot to reconnect that wire properly.
