Default questions about spoon exhaust

it is said that spoon exhaust comes with
"catalytic converter bypass test pipe."
what exactly is that?
what/ how does it affect the car?
HP/ torque wise... "law" wise... "sound" wise...

Spoon claims about 3-5 HP increase. It basically is a straight through pipe that you can swap out with your cat.

The proper N1 exhaust setup is no cat. But no cat also means big trouble with the law most of the times in any country of the world but hell no cat also means better performance nevertheless.

I would leave it off. It seems there is no backpressure when you have no cat!
