Default Questions for the Test pipe owners

So im lookin to do a exhaust and test pipe on my car in about a month or so. well i was curious and lookin around underneath and not really to my surprise there are spring bolths connecting the header and the CAT. Now the question is when i purchase a test pipe does the spring bolt assembly just come off or do i further use them with the test pipe. Im pretty sure that test pipes use all new bolts and stuff so i was just wondering how it works. Do i have to drill anything out to fit this on? or is it directly bolt on?

no drilling required, yes you will probably reuse the spring bolts. As for the other 3 (exhaust end) you can either reuse or use new bolts. My advice is to use a new gasket, which usually comes with exhaust and/ or test pipe.

The gasket on the front where the spring bolts are will stay with the header. You will probably get a new gasket for the rear along with new bolts for the rear with the pipe. Catback exhausts also usually come with a gasket so I would use that one. The front spring bolts are reused. Also they are only tightened to only 16ft/lbs! so be careful not to break them.
