Looks great! Makes such a difference. Now time for door inserts to match! Then maybe sun visor covers.
Smart move not adding Alcantara to the steering wheel. It's great for shift boots, inserts, even the arm rest, but not the wheel. It gets matted and gross way too fast. And colder leather feels nicer, as you said.
Ahhh - why did you have to do that to me? I wasn't even considering the door inserts! LOL
Urgh... It would be nice to do those... and now that seed is planted. Jerk!

Hahah sorry. It will look so good though. Check out redlinegoods, theyre reasonably priced.
Well - a big weekend for me...
My s2k has been buried all summer and I finally found some time to dig it out!
We're finishing our basement and all the crap from the basement was stored under the car on the lift. Took me a few hours but I moved everything over to the other parking spot for now (We should be done with the basement in a few weeks thankfully).
Felt amazing to drive the car for the first time in almost a year! I put the S4 up on the lift for now and will try and exclusively drive the s2k for the rest of the season when I can (we primarily drive our Volvo XC90 as we have 3 kids so probably won't be a ton still..).
I like the green paint on the floor as well as the drains. Did you put them in?
I know from living in the Twin City area for a couple of years (1987-1989) how important clean cars were to keep them from rusting out.

Thanks!
We built the house in late 2019 and the floor drain was a must along with a urinal in the garage
I did the floors myself before we moved in. The green is unique and ended up working well!
It's been a year and I think time to give an update.
Last fall I updated the KW Supercharger with their new serpentine belt system w/ Auto Tensioner. It was expensive to do but it will be much lower maintenance going forward. It's much quieter now which is actually nice however you still can hear the supercharger spooling which sounds more like a turbo now - it's not obnoxious anymore but when you wind it out it still makes all the right noises! It also got rid of a belt chatter noise with low speed 1st gear engagement with the old system which was a bit annoying.
I'll have more updates in the upcoming weeks:
It's quite odd writing this post because I never thought I'd ever part with this car, but I've decided to have a go at a new sports car that I've been drooling over for years... As husband, and father of 3 young children, I just don't have the bandwidth to care for and properly enjoy 2 sports cars...
So this ultimately means I'll be putting my beloved S2000 up for sale.
I'll probably list it for sale in about 2 weeks... and I will surely shed a tear when I see her go... lots of great memories.
I hear you. In MN we've had a lot of ice and snow already this year. The S4 is awesome in the bad weather, especially with snow tires, so I'm a bit spoiled
Thanks!!
I actually really liked the OEM steering wheel (size/shape/look) but it was badly worn and really degraded the look of the interior which is why I swapped. I looked at doing another leather wrap but none of them looked "OEM" enough for me (you could tell they were wraps) so I started looking at other options. Most of the aftermarket wheels were "too much bling" for me - I'm going for a very OEM+ look with this car. Ended up obviously with the swede one because it's still OEM (the core, so shape etc is the same) - in the pic it looks much lighter in color than it is, it's darker in person. It's thicker than the OEM wheel which I like as well. Feels great in the hand. Cleaning swede is a bit more involved but by no means terrible (you just need the right products). They also had a flatbottom variety which I almost went for but decided to try and keep it as OEM looking as possible. I'm very happy with it. It reminds me of the Porsche GT wheels - which is what they designed it after.
