I have read time and time again that the S2000 has a terrible design as far as aerodynamics.. how is this so... it looks soo sleek.. compared to mustangs..integras...even porsches... can someone please explain aerodynamics and coefficient drag.. thanks

I'm not an engineer, but I would say that most convertibles have a lousier than normal drag coefficient. However, if you should get a hard top, it should make it a lot more slippery.

Turbulence and drag are much worse with the top lowered than when it is up. I think top speed is about 15-20 mph faster with the top up. My Porsche 928 was lousy, dragwise; I seem to remember it having the the same Cd as a Volvo, at the time a veritable brick. I would think (hope) our cars are much better than average.

and dont forget our almost vertical windshield. if you compare our windshield to other cars such as a porsche boxter you will notice that its not slanted that much....
