I just got an AP2 and I just have a quick question about the redline rev limit of it. I know the AP1 has a rev limit of 9000rpm. Honda's website says red line for the AP2 is 8000rpm. I've looked around this forum and noticed some people mentioning a rev limit of 8500rpm. So is it 8000rpm or 8500rpm?

red line and rev limit are two different things....

 

Exactly! 2.0L engines have redline of 9000 rpm. This is NOT the rev limiter rpm.

 

Red line is 8,000rpm. Rev limiter kicks in at 8,200rpm.

 

I've got my shift beeper set to beep at 8500, 8700, 8900, and then the constant beep at 9100. If I stay in the throttle until I hit the limiter I hear all 3 beeps, then the constant beep indicating >9100rpms.

 

8500 is the hondata reflash.

8000 is redline on the AP2 and cutoff is 8200.

 

ooooooh okay. So what's the AP1's redline and rev limit?

 

9K redline, 9.2K fuel cutoff.
