Quick Question on HKS/Tanabe exhaust.
Alright, im getting my exhaust and i dont really want a single pipe. I want a system that looks nice and has a nice loud, deep sound. I thought Tanabe looked the best and probably was the loudest so i thought i'd go with that, but i saw there were 2 tanabe's a Racing Medallion and a Hyper medallion. I was wondering which one is the one seen here:

Now, i narrowed it down between the HKS and that tanabe shown above. I want to know which one is louder and which one gives the most power gain. Again, i know the single outlet exhausts give the most gains, but i dont like the look of a single outlet.
BTW thanks to all those who helped me choose my rims. Turns out i got the Volk racing GTN gun metal finish wheels. 17x7.0 in the front and 17x8.0 in the back.

good luck on getting your exhaust.
I believe the exaust in the photo and what you are looking for is indeed Racing Medallion.
Hyper Medallion has different design and I don't think it is available for S2000 application, but I am not 100% sure. All S2000 Tanabe exaust owners seem to have the Racing Medallion anyway.
Hyper is generally a toned down version(less noise) hence for street to sport use.
Racing version is obviously louder in decible and it is for sport to race use.
Most dual exaust for S2000 seems to give little help or no help at all on the HP department.
So if you are trying to squeeze out some hidden power, please don't be dissapointed.
But if you are looking for louder dual exaust, I believe Tanabe is your choice.
My choice would be HKS. Although it may not be louder than Tanabe in low-mid range, it becomes a quite a screamer like F1 in mid to high range. Which really seems to fit with S2000's high reving attribute.
Good luck with your new exaust and I hope you are happy with it.

thanks randy, yea i was just looking for something loud rather than powerful. If i wanted to go for power i would get the Spoon N1 Exhaust. I really like the look of the racing medallion over the HKS.
Anyway i'll tell you guys if i can find a good price.
thanks again.
