Default Quick question Maintenace Light popped on, off

I put gas in at a bad part of town, near Shell, and driving down the road and saw it flicker real quick then remained off the duration of the trip. This usually happen maybe nothing, car runs good and stuff, weird that it happened after filled up.

If it was the maintenance light rather than the CEL (check engine light) then it's just telling you that it thinks it's time for an oil change. Light comes on based on mileage and has to be reset after each oil change.

LOL, yup. The car is telling you that it thinks it is getting close to time to change the oil. The light will get more insistant if you ignore it, and will eventually stay on all the time. Perfectly normal. The thing is supposed to be reset every time the oil is changed, but I never remember to reset mine until it starts blinking at me.

I'd tell you how to reset it, but I can never remember. You can either look it up in the shop manual, or do a search; It's been discussed *many* times here on S2kI.

Check your glove compartment for your owners manual.
