hey, quick question which roll bar/ roll cage is stronger?

and which roll bar/ roll cage is lighter?

cusco... or cusco/safety 21...

the regular cusco would be stronger and should be lighter, its chromoly compared to steel.

 

Chromoly is stronger but not lighter than mild steel.

If the tubing is the same size, it will be stronger but not lighter. If you make the tubing smaller, it will be lighter but not stronger.

See how that works?

 

are you looking for a hoop or a full cage?

you will almost always gets a stiffer cage if you are willing to cut up interior pieces, those bolt on cage/bar with flex joint is not the best in term of rigidity

 

yea i was looking at the full cage. yes i am willing to cut up interior peices if it would be stronger. do you know of anybody that makes them in the miami fl. area

 

oh yeah would anybody know the weight difference between the two?
that'd be nice to know...

 

Are you looking for adequate roll over protection or a bling piece? Are you planning on tracking the car?

If you want bling get cusco, if you want safety go find a cage builder and talk to him/her.
