Default Quick Shifting Question

Being a new MY04 owner I am of course paranoid, so bear with the question...can shifting quickly through the gears at redline give you hot spots on the flywheel over time?

I ask because I had a fun little redlight experience, that "forced" me to clutch/shift fast enough that a heard a couple of slight chirps from my tires through the gears. Thanks!

Over time any shifting will cause dammage to the clutch and flywheel. These parts, while designed to last for a long time, are consumables.

Riding the clutch or holding the car in place with the clutch will burn one out REAL fast and could cause hot spots on your flywheel.

Clutch drops or very aggressive hard launching of the car will likely cause differential failure eventually. Normal upshifts even quickly executed at high RPM should be no reason for concern. In fact it is expected of you now that you own an S.
