speaking strictly CR, the cheapest most recent publicized deals are:
new black CR w/ ac: $26,500 including hardtop stand, tint, and 3m bug shield bought from milwaukee
new blue CR w/ ac: $26,900 bought from ebay, friend of mine in jersey got it from a MD dealer
new blue CR without ac: $24,200 ebay car
i purchased my 07 GPW new for 26,226 in feb 08, and my black CR for 29,300. CR deal was ok, but mainly because i had a 4wd truck as trade.
if i were buying now, i would not spend more then 26k on a base, 26K on a base CR, or 27k on a CR w/ ac. i'd suggest finding the car that you want, and tell them flat out you will give them 26k (or whatever number you choose). also, if you are financing the car with them, let them know that up front, as that affects the bottom line number as well. they make $ off of your financing, so you can get a lower sale price that way. good luck.

Do you have any links to those cars? I'm at work so I can't search ebay unfortunately.

What would you pay for a left over 07?
in my search for my CR, i came across a new never titled 06. they still wanted 31k for it, so no wonder they still have it...

Well they want 25.9k right now. They are claiming that's an amaaazing deal. I said give it to me for 20k otd (yeah I know that's really low lol). He said they would consider offers int he high 23's. Eh I dunno I guess it's not horrible, but still if brand new CR's are going for 28k what's my incentive for a 2 year old car?

well, there is your answer. you need to decide whether that car is the one you want, or do you want to spend a couple grand more and buy an 08 or even 09?

I bought an 07 gpw for 20700k with 7k miles. 22500 for the black 08 was a really good deal too imo. I was just craving for white and wasn't a fan of the taller seats ( not that it would have really mattered that much to me of i found a white 08)
