Racing off the line...
What does everyone drop their S2K at when racing off the line. I've found 7500 works well, although I'll fishtail like a bitch. By using 7500 RPM's, by the time I shift into second I'm either in or close to VTEC. Anyone have any better suggestions?
I think it depends on what kind of surface your on. black top/ concrete and sor forth. For the best starts you need to drop the clutch at a point so when your car is done spinning you are in the begining of vtech. The being ever 500 rpms under vtech when your done spinning will cost you a lot. I have probably dropped the cluth 20 times, and feel that on black top, 6500 rpm works good, and on concrete 7-7500 rpm works good. I also found it better to drop the clutch as the rpms are rising. By this i mean dont hold the rpms steady at 7000 or whatever, but rather hit the throtle and time it, so when the revs hit 7k you drop the cluth, i found you dont have to drop it as hight, and gives you slitght better times.
