Looking for a dectector that fits the snug layout of the S2K. Mayber external sensor with control unit under the seat? Any experience or advice?

Go here to read a test of four remote radar detectors. http://www.radartest.com/frameset.html

Unfortunately the best (by far) detector doesn't have an external mount. It does, however read radar & laser from the back and sides which I've found to be a great feature. Read up on the Valentine One and you'll learn that it is vastly superior to everything else on the market. To clean up the look a bit and to make it slightly more stealth, don't use the windshield mount, use the visor clip and install it on the left side of the passenger's visor.

I totally agree. I like the feature of knowing if the source is in front, to the side or to the rear. The range before a real target is excellent.

The big ugly Valentine One is the best and can be mounted as a remote. Try www.valentine1.com.

A couple of questions for you. Is it Big Al or Bi Gal? I've got a couple of friends in Spanish Fort that fit the Bi Gal description. Somehow I think Big Al seems to fit you better.

A couple of times when I've been on I-10 between Mobile and Pensacola I've seen a silver S2K exit at the 2nd exit east of the bayway (Malbis?). Any idea who this is? Since I'm in the area now and then maybe we'll meet sometime.

I agree with the other folks here. That V1 is by far the most amazing detector that I have ever used. Hands down. It may be a little more expensive than others and it may not be the most attractive one, but man, does that thing work. I don't have one, but a certain someone has let me use hers on numerous occasions.

I'm not even considering another brand. I will be getting a V1 for next year...period.

Hey guys, without a cigarette lighter, where does one find power, or should I look at cordless ones?

I have my V1 hard-wired into the fuse box.

WARNING: Do NOT buy another radar detector. You will be wasting your money.
