do they really work and what one works/looks best? I know of two the APR one and the SP engineering one.

dont really know if they work... but they sure look good! i bought the one from 4ig a while ago used off another member but cusco also makes a blue one that looks really good! theres also a bunch of people that have carbon fiber ones as well as the aluminum ones... good luck with your decision!

The degree to which they work depends mainly on the type of intake
you're using. If you're running a short ram, you'll want to avoid such a modification because it forces most of any incoming air entering from the front fascia directly towards the radiator and away from your filter. The photo
above is an example of a properly designed radiator cover plate. It still allows
air to enter the stock airbox.

If you have the Comptech, go for a Cusco one. It doesn't have the hole for the snorkle and it comes in blue It should cost you about $100.
