Has anyone ever had a cd jam in the player? MY04 jus decided that it wouldnt spit the things back out anymore and it clicks when i hit eject. Looks like the dealership is going to have to replace the player as of now. Any ideas as to how to get the cd out?

Try this first, Disconnect the battery for a few minutes then reconnect and enter your code then try to eject- if that doesn't work try the dealership or buy a new head unit!
Good Luck

Most CD player has a 'button' on it which manually forces the CD out of it. I can't find my stock HU at the moment, but try this:

disconnect the battery, pull out the headunit, look for a circular hole about the size of a paperclip end. It most likely is towards the front. If you find it, use a paperclip to push in, and it should manually eject the CD. If you can't find the hole, only other thing to do is head to the dealer.

Good luck

It's at the dealer now... Hopefully they will take care of it.

Thanks for your help.

I had the same thing happen on my MY04 about a month ago. CD in the radio played fine but just clicked on eject. Tried the Battery disconnect thing without results and as you could not find a manual eject deal like on some CD players. Took it to the dealer and they ordered a replacement radio on warranty. When it came in they called me back and swapped it out in about 20 minutes.

BTW the warranty cost for the radio and labour was $991.00, makes you want to consider an extended warranty, what's it going to cost if the A/C goes out?

I did ask the dealer if it was a common problem and he said he couldn't remember the last one that went out. Does anyone know if the Radio is common with other Hondas?

Hope you get your tunes back soon.

ps. the CD that got stuck in my radio was one of my Grandpup's Children's greatest hits, here on the "Frontera del Norte" our FM sucks and I rely on the CD for my tunes, the "Wheels on the Bus" gets old pretty fast, but my Grandpup loved it! Ha! Ha!

I know factory HU's are rediculously expensive, but haad no idea they were that high.

I have seen this as more of a problem with burnt CDs that people have added a label to, making the disc thicker than spec. Although, from your post, it does not seem to apply.

The CD in my player was a original store bought with silkscreened label. I use a Permanent marker instead of the stick on labels just for the reason you mentioned, however my daughter uses the stick on labels all the time in her CD player without any problems. Go figure!

wow. i hope i don't get charged for all of that. the new hu is on order right now and should be in next week. glad (and sad) to hear that someone else had this happen, there must be something wrong. i also rely on cd's for music here... montana has some really good stations, but the good stuff all seems to be played in the morning. so for now im stuck with the cd in it (which somehow plays).

I have had success "fishing" a CD out of the slot with another CD. If you insert another CD part way, then hit eject while using the second CD to coax the first CD out, it will usually come out.
