I usually ride with it open. For some reason when I hit the volume button on the dash, I like to see what magnitude of volume it is on. Even when I have the radio off, I still for some reason keep the cover open. Yesterday was really one of the first days that I didn't have the radio cover open... felt a little weird but it does look good...

I think the interior looks a lot cleaner with the door closed. It also prevents my passenger from pressing all the buttons on the radio . . .

 

Closed, thats what the dash controls are for!

This is so absolutely true... didn't think of that one... good point. I might now have to consider closing it more often, especially when a passenger is in the car.

I typically keep it closed. My knee does hit it, it looks cleaner too.
