Post Radio Lid cover

well i have a 2002 and i bought a radio lid cover for a 07 s2k (the aluminium color)
my question is how do i remove the old one to put this one on. i thought i heard something about using a hanger to push the bolts out????? i tried that and it wouldnt budge, it looks like they somehow got rusted a little bit. please help... any pics any info... hopefully there is someone who has installed one of these, i just wanted to change the look a bit instead of the old all black one.
thanks for your help....

i know theres a thread on this somewhere but you have to keep trying with the pins also this must be done with the entire radio console out. I put mine in a week ago but i swapped consoles which was MUCH easier.

I know there is a thread cuz I used it when I swapped mine like a week ago. Once you have the whole piece that covers your radio off the are to tiny pins that act like hinges that must be pushed out, mine were kinda hard to push out but if you can find the pins thats all there is to it.

oem, by console i mean that trim surrounding the radio door. do a search on radio door or radio door removal etc. you should find what your looking for!

replacing the stock radio couldn't be any easier...once you have the radio surround out you'll see that the radio is held in place by 2 screws through a bracket on either side. those brackets come off the old radio and screw onto the new one exactly the same...
