From what you describe, I would look into paintless dent repair. Somebody who knows what they're doing can make it look like new.

I'm so sorry someone vandalized your car. So far, most of my cars half a dozen scratches were caused by my own carelessness. That certainly teaches a lesson.

When "you" damage your own car (as I have with past cars I've owned) I think it's easier to get over it. When someone deliberately runs up to your car and karate kicks it....it takes longer to get mentally healed...But thank god for "Comprehensive insurance" this is only gonna cost me $250 dollars (deductable) to fix it. Fix something that I had nothing to do with. Not to mention the possibility of Geico upping my premium. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but "dont mess with another mans automobile"....
