Ohio:

That may be true , however, when I'm stuck in traffic - the top's usually down and I'm getting a tan! And usually I don't make it to Buena Park - unless I'm going to Medeival Times - that place rocks!

That's the one! Runs from Manhattan Beach to Riverside, and beyond! It could be Sunday morning at 6:00 or Wed. nignt at 9:00 - and the 91 will always be jammed - people must think the road gives your car special powers or something?

Sorry to hear about the record breaking news. At least the trees are green, right?

Property sounds nice. Reminds me of when my father made me go cut the grass back in the day. unfortunately now, all you really need to cut the grass out here, with our "wonderfully large" lot lines, are hedge clippers. - it's a "Catch 22" out here. Or is it a "have your cake and eat it too?" You know what I mean.

Yes, my property is real nice. I am in the mountains of New Jersey. In 1803 the Canfield mining company sent teams of men into the mountains to di exploritory holes to see if there was any ore here. They didn't find any and left. (The holes were still there when our house was built) The land is mountainous and rocky so it is not suited for farming so the woods were allowed to develop. In the early 1900s this whole area became a camp so there are stone walls, creeks and ponds all over the place.

Nine years ago, when the developer built our houses he left most of the woods in place. I have about 1 acre of lawn (front and back) and 1/2 acre of woods (again when combined with my neighbors there is about 5 contiguous acres of woods). We have many mature trees interspaced on our lawn (front and back) because of which our house is barely visable from the road. When we moved in 9 years ago my wife and I planted fruit trees along the perimeter and crab apple trees lining the driveway. It really is quite nice.

As much as I complain about the rain, it is really good for the lawn and trees. The one thing that bothered me about Southern California on my visits was how dry and brown the place is. I like my trees to be green.

Anyway, its not raining now but the humidity is real high and I'm sure we'll have rain tonight.

I hope its dry tomorrow in Ohio so Ohio and his wife can pick up his CR-V.

Rob,

Sound beautiful. When't the housewarming party (part II / III?)? I've got an extra toaster - any takers?
