Its cold here too tonight, but I'm coming down with something. I've been sitting at my computer and shivering for the last hour. I made E.W.A. close all the windows. Its Advil for Cold and Sinus for me tonight.

Well, today has been an action packed day for us. Some of you may know I was house sitting my mom's place this weekend and also baby sitting my neice too. Well I finally got back to my place last night about 11 pm (after work) and this morning, I called my moim t see how things were going with them and just getting back. She told me that they were woken up at 4 am with gun shots.

I guess they have been having a string of home invastions going on lately in their town and every one has gotten worse and worse as they went along. Started off as just stealing, then turned into rape of the women and children and even child molestation.

They would break into the house and tie up the male, rape the women and if there were any kids, them too. They even took it as far as killing one of the victems at gun point.

Anyways, I guess it started off in a town next to theirs and ended having the gun fight in the house behind hers. I was like. I just spent 3 days there with the windows open and the doors latched but not locked. I mean I came from a nice country home where the worst we have to worry about is Coyotes and skunks!!

This all started about 4 am and they blocked off roads and wouldnt let people in and out without searching their cars. They captured 3 or 4 of them and were looking by helicopter and ground for the other. I guess about 2-3 pm, they finally had them in custody and let people back into their places.

What really pisses me off now is that those Mo-Fo's get to sit behind bars for 10-15yrs and live off of us. They get 3 square meals a day, T.V. (weights were actually removed here since the prisioners were getting bulkier then the guards) among other things. It costs $25K/yr for us to keep 1 in prision. What the F?!? Grrrrr.

On a side note, it's 10:45 and 71* outside. Hubby will be home in a bit and then we will got for a cruise.

BTW 4, I think I can persuade you easily

Quik...

Such is life. It sucks, but there's not much we can do. At least they're off the streets and you mom's place will be safe again. It's like anything... you take risks every second of your life. Whether it be flying, driving on the FWY, going to the local 7-11, or sleeping at your home at night. We can't live our lives worried about what's going to happen. IMHO, God has a plan for all of us.

I agree with you on that Carl. I just hope my plan includes my car (not necessarily the S) and going out in a blaze of Glory. BTW, I get alot of $$ if I die in a car accident with my seatbelt on. Well, not me but my family is gonna be set enough.

It just made me mad that all that was going on and I didnt know about it. I would have made sure the doors were locked and all. Not scared of sying, when it's my time to go I'll go, but its the rest that I'm worried about. Including my neice.
