Rain again, again.

Beautiful day today here...high about 80 - breezy. I guess that's our friend Isabel getting closer. Guess I'll have to stay up all night tomorrow to watch it since it hits here later tomorrow into Fri morning.

BTW, my son goes to Vandy, are you right off RT 24?
The brother of a coworker of mine is a meteorologist in Raleigh. These are his comments as passed along just now by her to me:
"Looks to me like the storm is starting its move on the coast --- one thing that was disturbing about the 11 AM discussion was that one of the computer models shifted the landfall 30 miles to the left (abruptly). If this trend continues the track of the storm could be further west and could impact us here in Raleigh. However, they are still saying that the center of the eye will come ahore between Cape Lookout and Ocracoke Island early Thursday afternoon. Since hurricane force and tropical storm force winds extend so far out from the center of the storm we will get at least tropical storm force winds in Raleigh and probably near hurricane force winds in gusts. From the satellite loop it looks to me like the storm is becoming more organized than it was yesterday, there is however still not clearly defined eye and there is still an indication of a gap in the convection cloud deck spiraling around the center. I can look out the window now and see the cirrus clouds from the outflow pattern of this storm."
Be safe, people...

Went out this evening for a bit for some top-down driving and that helped. It's a gorgeous night and perfect for being out in the S.
