Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

But I'm sure the toaster that 4 is sending to all of us will not have this annoying feature...
And the punch line is

Hmmm...guess this didn't come across as funny as I thought! It came from a long list of questions/complaints posted on the Joke thread. And since we've been having this discussion about toasters, I thought it fit! Maybe not....

Sorry, just kidding

I was trying to think of a good answer because if there's any way possible the toast will burn (Murphy's Law #202a).

No intended!

I still think the best way to toast anything is to put it in the S2000K's cup holder (soggy but hot).

I just now went out to the lot to check: 403 miles. Tonight's drive to Galena is about 140 miles each way; while we could take the tollway we'll be taking secondary roads. We probably won't be home till after midnight.

10:15AM Hazy sunny skies, some clouds, about 85 or so right now and quite humid. Going up to 92 today with a slight chance of t-storms later.

Tomorrow more of the same, but the weekend is supposed to be sunny and mid-80s with less humidity.

Nice Attempt - & for that terrible joke...

The toaster I'll send you will have only one setting... Burnt Beyond all Belief!

Deb

Not to worry. 4 is sending us the best toasters that money can buy. He's that kind of guy.
