Rain-x
I am probably the only person who doesn't feel that RainX is all that and a bag of cookies. In light misty drizzle, RainX does not help at all, you still have to use the wipers to clear the windshield. At speed however, RainX works great with the water beading up and rolling off. Then again, I have found that a good pair of silicone wiper blades after repeated use forms the same type of coating that the RainX does. End result is water beading up and rolling off the windshield.
Another side effect that annoys me with the RainX is that it causes excessive wiper chatter when I do have to make use of the wipers, like when I am moving at lower speeds or in light drizzle.
Won't be going back to RainX anytime soon.

Chatter is frequently caused by the wipers always leaning on one side when you turn them off. They take a set in that direction, and when they go in the opposite direction they bounce (up the window).
Try purposely leaning your wipers opposite to the way they stop once in a while. I find it works like a charm.

They have a Rain X "wax" for the windows now that is much easier to remove if you don't work too large of an area. If it does give you a hard time, a fine mist of water and a soft towel will take care of the haze left. I have been using it for years and I'm specially impressed with the newer wax version for windows.
