Yes, that also reminds me of another. At my height and seated position, the windshield header perfectly blocks some green lights. Leaving me sitting at a green like a fool. So I have to crouch or strain to look above it.

I remember reading somewhere that when the gas light came on there was 2 gallons of fuel left? I could be pulling this out of my a$$... but...

2 gallons should be 50miles with conservative driving... but i've never tried it

I think honda is just trying to discourage people from driving around with VERY low amounts of fuel, sucking air bubbles through the filter.

Finally the Gas gauge is a personal hate for me. I leave work with 4-5 (ap2) bars and look down a couple miles from home to see 1 or 0 bars. Scarry, but I haven't run out yet.

I think honda is just trying to make the final quarter of the gauge more sensitive, so that you can get a more detailed picture of that last gallon, but it just makes it easier to run out of gas.
I had a digital gas gauge on my 1988 Mazda 323 GT. It was similar, but the scale would automatically change during the last few bars to show the last 2 gallons. You could watch it right down to empty. Pretty neat feature - I wish the S2K had it.

The gas gauge on my 05 seems to go from full, to half tank in 100-120 miles, but then ends up slowing down under the halfway mark. but then once it hits 3-4 bars, it just drops extremely fast.

Just traded in my '04 Civic Si HB for a '03 GPW AP1 2 weeks ago as well. I love the handling and the abundance of aftermarket parts for these cars.I'm suffering from option anxiety!!!

Wait until you need the visor for the first time, it's almost completely useless.
The visors are totally worthless for blocking the sun -- and they don't even swing down far enough to properly secure my sunshield. (And no, I can never see stoplights without craning my neck).

Also a lot of more OCD new drivers complain that the Mode button is pretty stupid too.
I thought the mode button was stupid at first, but I actually use it pretty often to go from CD to radio (NPR). That is, of course, when I'm going under 30mph with the windows up* and can actually hear the stereo.

*this never happens

The gas gauge is funky, but at least it has a lot more bars than the AP1! Who thought of that?

The Backyard special lower seat rail helps with seeing the lights. I don't feel like I hunch down anymore. (I am 6"2.5").

I agree with all of them. One gripe I have is that although the dipstick is clever, it is a pain to pull out. I hate leaning on the fender all the time.
