[QUOTE=plutonium239,Jul 9 2007, 06:46 AM] Despite being only 2.2 liters, does not mind driving around at low rpms.
Even on a cold morning, with the top down, the heater works great.
The AC also works great in such a small cabin.
Corners very well yet is just as smooth as my g35 on the open road.
I rather like the slight whine from the engine.
Thirsty for a 4 banger

Considering people leave the car parked with the roof down, I think the gas door release is in a great spot as it is inaccessible when the door is shut/locked. Ever wonder why the boot release is in a lockable compartment?

Fuel gauge - why do you want to run down to empty anyway? I usually fill up when I have a couple bars left (AP1).

Fuel economy - did you work this out properly or are you just guessing due to your inaccurate fuel gauge? Above 5.5-6K rpm really sucks up the juice.
1. people store valuables in the boot. whats in my gas tank? how many times do strangers try to siphon off gas?

2. we want a fairly accurate gauge? why not?

3. a 2800-lb 2-liter 4-cylinder car that gets 20mpg around town.. is really not all that great (yes its a sports car but just sayin...)

I almost got stuck because the last bars fooled me once when I was on a road trip. I had to drive like 25 miles with no bars. It sucked. I turned off the AC and rolled up the windows in 90 degree weather.

I was never so happy in all my life to see a gas station.

Just traded in my '04 Civic Si HB for a '03 GPW AP1 2 weeks ago as well. I love the handling and the abundance of aftermarket parts for these cars.I'm suffering from option anxiety!!!

New owner here as well and I agree that the gas gauge is tricky! As for the radio, I actually use the mode button instead of pressing on the radio. It is easier to use and I can keep my eyes on the road. I keep the radio cover closed because my knee hits it everytime I get into the cockpit.

install an aftermarket radio and use the DCI module..it remaps the remote radio controls and make them MUCH more intuitive
