So, I noticed on the way to work today that our side mirrors don't have the usual "object appear farther then they are" type warning on them. Does this mean that our mirrors are somehow corrected so that object appear the same distance that they actually are?

No, Honda assumes that S2000 owners are already smart enough to know that without having a label telling them.

Never really noticed it wasn't there? I'll have to check next time I get the car out.

I have no idea if they do or not... but I've never seen a car w/o that warning... has your mirror been replaced maybe by the previous owner?

I highly doubt it, bought it with 25k on the odometer and the previous owner was an older gentleman who kept it covered in his garage.

Mirrors are oem and the car was a certified honda with no accidents on the car fax report.

I'll check the passenger one later, I only noticed when I was stuck in traffic.

Another question (finally remembered what it was) is if everyone's intermitent wiper makes a pretty loud click sound (much like the turn signal click) when it moves? I have an '01 so I'm not sure if they might have refined that in later models.

This strikes me as odd mainly because the wipers do not make any clicking sound either when turned fully on, or when you just push the stalk up to activate the singe wipe used with cleaning your windshield.

Only passenger mirrors have the warning (because driver mirrors are not convex).

Did you buy your car used? If so, mind as well inspect the right side of the body too and see what else has been replaced.

Oh I forgot to mention: US DOT regulation for convex (and what they call "non-unit magnification") for passenger side mirror + mandatory warning. If it doesn't have the warning and it's not a gray market car then that means your right side mirror has been replaced at some point.

This click you are speaking of is normal for any car with intermittent wipers. Some are just more pronounced than others. I heard it on my '97 Ford Escort I drove a while back, and also on a '94 Toyota Tercel when I use the MIST selection. I believe that sound is coming from the wiper control module, or some switch that's part of it.
