Default Rattle....any thoughts on cause?

I've been having this consistent rattle right at the drivers left shoulder area, someplace where the door closes to the body.
I took it in to Honda yesterday and they said it's the window regulator. But the regulator is in the middle of the door!
Anybody have any ideas? Experienced this before? Solution?

Thanks in advance!

The three most common rattles behind you are 1) spare, 2) passenger seat belt, 3) passenger seat. Sometimes it is hard to tell where a noise is coming from.. especially in this car because there is plenty of it.

1. top up or top down?

2. if top down, boot on?

3. rattle or vibration?

Top up or down.
Window up or down.
No boot.
I believe it's a rattle, never heard it before until recently (two weeks ago).
I don't hear it when I drive over bumps with the door open.
It may be the door latch?

I chased down a rattle in my door a while back that sounds to be close to what you are hearing. It turned out to be the metal "rods" that connect the door handle and lock switch to the actual door lock mechinism.

I "jerry rigged" a fix with a drinking straw and electrical tape.

I cut the straw into some peice about 3 in. long...split them lengthwise...wrapped them around the rods and taped the two pieces together (not too tight). The rods slide freely inside the straw pieces and the pressure on them seems to dampen the noise.

I occasionally hear what sounds like a rattle over my left shoulder. Turns out it is the seatbelt rubbing against the edge of the seat right in front of the seatbelt guide.

I believe something is loose and bring it back to your dealer to get them to run it through thoroughly ... This means taking off the door panel to see if there is something loose. It's a common Honda problem with rattles and vibrates, the most I've come across is the speakers rattling with the bass applied even mildly. They're obligated to fix that noise, not just give you a maybe it's this or that. It's covered in the Honda warranty.
