Post Rattling coming from behind seats.

I have been noticing a rattle coming from behind the seats for about a year now. I have already taken it in to the dealership once for it and they replace the strikers. That seemed to make it rattle lest often, but didn't cure the problem. Well, it has been getting worse the past month or so and I finally got fed up and took it back to the dealership this morning. Since the rattle is now very reproducible by just blipping the throttle I was able to let them hear exactly what I was talking about. Just got a call back from them and they have narrowed it down to a seam that has been coming apart by the rear window. They are going to send it out to an upholstery shop to get the seam repaired. I was kind of hoping for a new top when he said a seam was coming off (plastic is annoying) but I can accept this. I'll take some pictures of everything when I get the car back tomorrow and post it up here.

I also went ahead and had them change the oil while it was in. The service manager didn't know what all was involved w/ the oil change on an S2000 so he asked one of their techs to come up and go over it. That was a nice change of the usual

Just for sh*ts and giggles, make sure your spare tire is screwed down tight.

I don't have the spare tire in the car, just the RSX Sub and I makes the same sound w/ it out of the car. That was one of the 1st things I checked.

How tall are you? I remember in my old Del Sol when I put the seats back all the way or leaned the back too far.....the back of the seat would rattle against the back of the cabin. If so....try adjust the seat up a click or the seat back up a click.

Alright, well I got the car back on Friday but had to go right back to work. Didn't really have time to go over the car or anything. On Sat. I had a chance to actually drive it around and inspect the car. The rattle is still there. They claimed to have done a test drive too. It's not as bad as before but still quite bothersome. I also notices something black on the front passenger's fender. I wiped it off (appeared to be oil) and noticed there are 3 tiny little scratches under there now. That is pretty upsetting. Not only did they not fix the problem they also put scratches in the paint. Looks like it's going back to the shop. I wanted to take it in this morning but wasn't able to. Hopefully I'll have time at lunch to take it in.

Oh, and about the seat being too far back. I am 6'2" and have the seat back as far as it will go, however the seat doesn't squeak or rattle. I have driven w/ the seat moved up a notch or two and still have the same sound.
