Sorry man, I'm at work . You really don't need pics though. I just went out and looked at the hinge to refresh my memory and there's no way to miss it. There is only one of the rest/buttons on either side of the car. Just sit in the seat and look up at the hinge. The button is held on with a large phillips screw. It is on the long curved link that hangs down the farthest. The short curved link that rests against it goes up and is welded to the front roof bow. Just put a piece of the felt on the little curved link right where it touches the rest/button and you should be good to go.

It's amazing how something like a little clicking noise can be such a pain. Until I eliminated it, it was really giving me downer thoughts about the car. It was pissing me off so bad I just had to leave the stereo on all the time to cover it up...

I had the same problem and complained about it to my dealer and they said that the latch was loose and needed to be replaced. In the meantime they greased the latch which did help significantly but occasionally it still rattles.
I would suggest to you having your dealer check out your latches and adjusting or replacing them if necessary.

Yes, it's the plastic stop/knob with the large phillips screw head in the middle. The reason it was hard to find for me was that tapping on it did nothing. It only made the clicking noise when going over rough roads which made the roof shift back and forth causing the short curved link to chafe against the stop knob.

This is a different problem and unrelated to the clicking noise that comes from the area up beside the drivers/passengers ears. I'm sure it's still annoying though .

My clicking came from the hindges on the left and right side of the soft top in the center line. A little lube and away it went. I hope you find the problem for this noise drove me insane till I fixed it.
