Default Rear end kicks left when shifting.

I noticed something odd last night when driving my S2000. When getting on it hard and shifting at 6k plus the rear end kicked abruptly left. I also noticed it when shifting at lower RPM's but it was much less pronounced. I've put 72k miles on my car and have never felt anything like it. My rear tires are nearly down to the wear bars but conditions were dry and I was pointed straight ahead when shifting. I'm a bit perplexed. Any ideas as to what might cause this or has senility set in.

This has been discussed on here before.

Usually, the culprits are uneven tire pressures in the rear or odd toe setting in the rear alignment.

+1 for tire pressure. this has happened to me twice now...most obvious sign is definitely movement during shifting.

How many pounds off does it usually take for the rear end to react like this? I haven't checked pressure in over a month but to just look at them neither tire appears extremely low. Are we talking 5-10 lbs or more.

When it happened to me there was about a 10 - 12 pound diff between the tires.
