The ins company will give you what you need to replace your car. If they, don't hold out and get multiple forms of the cars value. They will take car of you as long as you are reasonable. If they don't total it you can get some extra $ for depreciation value since its been involve in an accident. Good Luck.
We can put up a pole here and find out who is and is not satisfied with their insurance payout. I'd put money on the fact that 85% of people will be dissatisfied.
Necessary evil though, but you CAN fight em tooth and nail.

Wow that sucks, I know how you feel coming from a very similar situation ( Senior year, 4 car accident, 3 cars totaled, 1 Very inexperienced driver) , Well I'm guessing I do anyways...
