I don't think the plastic window is a big deal, just treat it right.

I totally agree. I don't understand all this moaning and groaning about it!

BassMan,
Yes!! Where did you get that picture?

Everyone else who replied,
Moaning and groaning? What the hell. If I don't have to spend an 1 hour every week cleaning the plastic windshield I could be driving then!!! ;-)

Sorry, it's not real, made the pic myself last time this topic was discussed to see what it could look like...

Not to mention the cost of 'upgrading' to the glass window. If cost is not an issue for the individual, then great!

Otherwise, it seems like it will be an expensive modification.

Bassman,

is that Honda's interpretation of the "split window" ala the 63 Vette?

how about this one: 2 lexan pieces, with the factory zipper around it, held in the middle with a flexible canvas type water-resistant material. i can imagine a "pocket" that will hold the lexan pieces in place, so it'll be easily replaceable if it's ever scratched or fogged in any way. it's lighter than glass, but the only thing is that you can't put a defogger thingie on it.

it can be tinted also

i think Rick/Luder or Muz are more qualified in this department than i am. i can do fabric stuff, but Rick's connection will be more suitable. you talk about welding (i.e. my upcoming x brace), machining (dead pedal), plastics (my aeroscreen), metals and stuff, i'm game. i'll be more than happy to be a part of the development team if Rick needs the help.
