Rick, Mingster, Muz.....

I absolutely hate plastic rear windows especially on a car as nice as the S2K.

There HAS to be something that can be done to retro fit a rear glass into the S2K.

Instead of making a 1 piece rear glass window which would not fit - why not have a folding 2 piece rear glass window?

There MUST be something that can be done.

Oh yes, there can be something done, if you're willing to pay an arm and a leg and alot of time for it.

I'm not a big fan of the plastic window either, but I can live with it. I personally would not pay the money it would take to have it changed to a glass window. Plus, that window would be very small in area.... have you taken a look at the rear windows on the latest Miatas and Eclipses?

My .02 cents

you guys that have a problem with the plastic window look out the back too much.

Like that italian guy (driving the ferrari) on the first Cannonball Run movie said:

"whatsa behinda me doesn'ta matter!"

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

The plastic window is a pain in the a**, but you just have to take care of it.

I agree with rocketman...I don't think it's that bad.

It just took me some time getting used to it.

The rear glass window does not have to be small if its a 2 piece folding rear glass window.

I had a 99 miata with a glass rear window (factory) and it was fine. I would settle for a small rear window if it were glass (with a defroster). On the 1999 C5 convertible I have at my office, the glass rear window isn't very tall, but it is WIDE.

A wide rear window would be great.

Maybe it's just me, but I kinda like the plastic window. As long as you keep something soft in the well and use Plexus, it looks fine. If we had a top that folded neatly (like a Boxster), then I'd prefer a glass window but for what we have the plastic one is fine, IMO.
