Default Rear Turn Signal Bulbs Out

Well I just picked up my S from Coral Springs Honda. They did the recall on the tail lamps due to fading. On my way home I noticed that my turn signals were blinking really fast. Sure enough the turn signal lights were out.

I pulled the left bulb and it looked fine, pulled the right bulb and it was out. Would this cause both rear turn signals not to light? If it's just a bulb, does anyone have a P/N or some info so I can go pick one up at Autozone or Advance Auto?

Thanks,
-Chris

I know the turn signal bulbs for the front are 7440. I wouldn't be surprised if it the same for the rear.

Your manual will likely tell you...

Strangely enough, many of us have a bulb out after the MY2000 tail-light recall. I don't know what it is about removing and re-installing the lights that would cause this to happen. All I did was to take the car back to the dealer who did the recall and they just replaced the bulb for me, for free. Good luck.

Same here. Go to the dealer and have them do it for free.

when i got mine done, both taillamp bulbs went out, i got pulled by a cop as i was going out at night to meet some friends. i told him about the recall work and that i was going back to the dealership the next day. he let me off, but made me go home for safety reasons. thank god for the minivan. i took it to the dealership and they tried to tell me that both bulbs just happened to burn out at the exact same time, right after they replaced the light housings... hmmm. but they replaced them for free.

I guess it has something to do with not disconnecting the battery?

I think it happens because the filaments become brittle/fragile over time. The aren't jarred or mis-treated until the techs get in there and disconnect them.

Thats my story, and I'm stickin' to it!
