Jesus Christ...... you people.

Wydget , go to Honda.com and click on "Owners Link" or follow this link: Honda Owner's Link Home Page

Register yourself and your vin. It will tell you any recall that has been done or is due on the car as well as let you know if there are any promotions for parts, specials, or coupons for things like oil changes at your local Honda dealership AND your schedualed maintenance.

It is effectively a recall as an original item on the car is a safety risk and will be replaced free-of-charge.

unlike the spark plug product update campaign, most of those are tsb's and are not performed for free if you are out of warranty.

more fuel for the pissing match.

"Recalls" are mandated by the NHTSA (so far only 4 for the S2000). The spark plug thing wasn't mandated by the NHTSA which was my whole point in saying it wasn't a recall. It was Honda admitting they had an issue and offering to resolve it at no cost to their buyers...

Anyway, tomato tomaato

the dealer should be able to look it up for you at no charge. my MY00 has three, the spark plug thing, seat belt tensioners, and the fading red rear reflectors. The latter hasn't been done yet so I'm gettin' free fix on that next week
