RECARO SPG-N and seat rails
I just got a Recaro SPG-N seat, according to recaro japan website, the seat was designed for japanese market, does anyone know the difference between SPG and SPG-N?
heres a link to spg-n
http://www.recaro.com/index.php?id=2456®ion=4&L=3
Which seat rail will put the seat lower? Bride FG or Taitec, or J's superlow? I can get better deals on bride, but I don't know if it's as low as the others.
Thanks for your help !

The Taitec rail will place you in the SPG about 2 inches lower than stock height. perfect for tall people.
I'm also curious what the N means. I just bought two Recaro SPG replicas from F1Spec and can't fit in them...

I think N is a daily driver version, it meet some kind of japanese vehicle regulation, it does have a lower side bolster.
Does anyone know if the Bride LF (Lowmax) rail will work with the SPG?

After alittle searching on yahoo japan, I come up with the following engrish description of SPG-N
As for SPG-N being something which was made in bodytype of the Japanese, seat width depth is wider than SPG.
In addition also the cushion is most soft!
With atmosphere you compare with SPG and do not become the thing.
SPG-Nは日本人の体型に作られたもので、 ート幅・奥行きがSPGより広い。
またクッションも柔らかく最高のシ ト!
座り心地ではSPGとは比べ物にならな 。
I'm 6'1", 180lbs, sitting in the SPG-N, it's more comfortable than the Bride VIOS3 and slightly more comfortable than Bride Zeta3 Sport, but it's still not as comfy as the Sparco Corsa, but ofcourse, corsa is too big to fit in the S.
According to the Bride japan website, The F series rails will work with the SPG, but for SPG-N it requires the RO type (which is normally used for bottom mount bride seats) with the addition of "import side mount"?
SPG / Fシリーズ
SPGN / ROタイプ (注意2)+インポートサイドステー
So now I'm wondering how low the seat will be with Bride RO type mount, and what kind of side mount it requires.
Can someone please translate the japanese text.
Thanks !

Recaro didn't specify the recommended waist size, I'm size 36 and I fit comfortable in this seat, my friend whos size 33 says it's too loose for him. Keep in mind this is the SPG-N seat, which is different from the SPG.
After some more research, I found the bride RO rail(H152RO) plus bride import side stay (A35NPO) should work with this seat, I'm thinking of placing the order for it in a few days, unless anyone have better suggestions?

So, interestingly enough, I bought an SPG from Ebay and it turned out to be an SPG-N. I fit much better in it (6'1" 195, with a 33-34" waist) than I do the SPG which is on the tight side. I only hope the SPG-N actually fits into the car. :/ I could see how it could be too loose for someone smaller than I am.

I don't know how wide the Taitec rail goes, but this seat doesn't quite fit with the Mugen rails. sooooo close, but about 10mm too wide up front.
If the Taitec rail can accomodate a 430mm wide seat up front, it'll probably work fine. The seat itself fits fine in the s2000, and is much more comfy than the SPG for me. Some of the bride rails might work too, depending on how large they are.
The mounting points on the SPG-N are wider up front than they are in the rear. The rear is the same width as the normal SPG, but the front is about 30mm larger. Taking out the 10mm spacers ALMOST works but not quite. 10mm.
Now, I gotta decide if I get a taitec rail or if I just get an SPG for my Mugen rails.
