the diff is apart and i will be needing a new LSD. everything else is perfect. money is tight right now with paying over 5000 a year for insurance and still paying off my credit card for when i charged my brakes, so i won't be able to buy the comptech reinforcement or the 4.57's. even though that would be nice considering it is all apart.

what to lsd to choose

I have two stock LSD's if you are interested. One has only 8000 miles on it from an '02 and the other is new out of an '04 differential with 14 miles on it. $300 plus shipping for the used and $350 plus shipping for the new one. Let me lnow if you are interested.

What where the symptoms of your LSD going? How did you know you had a problem before you took it apart?

if i had to put any rear diff in the car it would be one from a third gen rx7. there's a shop tha does LS1 swaps into the rx7, and with around 500 lb/ft of torque and big fat slicks at the drag strip they were cutting sub 1.5 60 ft times all day long on the stock rx7 diff. this setup supposedly held up fine for months until they put a big shot of nitrous on it. then it made one last 1.3 60 ft run before it blew up. i doubt that ANYONE could put the same strain on a rear diff in a turbo s2000.

thanks fperra, but i think im going to go with an aftermarket lsd.

i new it was going when i would give full throttle the rear end would vibrate very bad and the car barely accelerated. eventually the same thing would happen on 1/4 throttle

the car was still driveable but barley.

i am deciding to go with a cusco lsd but now i am confused on if i want the 1.5 or a 2 way lsd. i have researched and i noticed more people seem to get the 2 way. here is a link from the cusco website explaining them both

http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_lsd.html

is there any reason i should NOT go with the 2 way lsd

thanks
