Having placed my order following an inspiring test drive I am now in the waiting mode. My dealer tells me September delivery based upon my place on the list (he just placed his August allocation and I'm secong after that). I just found and read the edmunds.com roadster comparo review, highly recommended reading, it confirms my experience with the M roadster and the TT. Any other suggested reads to help while away these perfect S2k days? For now I'll get by with my Audi 1.8TQ with the APR chip, it's fun, quick but it's no S2K.

How long have you had the APR chip? Do you like it? Did it make much difference? Any chip related issues? I have got one for my 2.7t A6, but have yet to install it. I wanted to get some more miles on the car before chip'n it...

Is there another dealer that has one on hand? You really appreciate the car dropping the top everyday...

I've had the chip for 2+ years now, zero 'chip' issues. The difference is fantastic. At first, it was so smooth that I thought it wasn't effective, that was until I'd glanced at my speedo, expecting to see 30 or 40 mph, only to realize that I was doing close to 70. The torque is an amazing improvement. Also, the people at APR have been great to deal with, wish that they could be convinced to work their magic on my upcoming baby. Go ahead, don't delay, put the chip in. The 2.7T is great to begin with but you won't beleive the improvement. Talk about bang for the buck.

almost forgot, the K&N filter (or equivalent) and synthetic oil is an absolute must with the chip. BTW I drove a chipped A6 2.7T, though not an APR chip...just do it. How many miles do you have?
