Regular K and N filter install
While having my exhaust put in, I decided to see about getting a new filter. I have read on this forum that K and N did not make a drop in filter for the S2k.
The way around this was to use a small (3" long) piece of three inch chrome metal tubing (the piece that we used came from a cut off end of a injen air intake tube that was in the shop.
This enables, with a large clamp, the use of a regular K and N filter that will fit in the box. The whole thing took about 21/2 min. (1 min to get the box cover off with a strut tower brace in the way
)
This added something to the "pep" no dyno just a feel, but it seemed to make a difference. Comments?

you may want to glue/soldier/secure a knob thingie on the forward bottom part which would go into the hole that will help the filter's bottom portion "stand" up a bit so the filter's bottom portion doesn't stick to the flat of the air box and prevent that portion from breathing.
