Remember Route 66?
When I was a kid in the 60's, My favorite TV show was Route 66. Those two guys traveled all over the U.S in a Vette roadster but I always wondered how they lived out of their trunk.
I'm going to cover 4,500 miles this summer to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Alberta in my Stook. In the past We've done this with a motorhome and tow car.
Anyone taken long trips?
Pros, cons tips?

Well....aren't you in for a treat! I live right off of Route 66! That's right...this part of Route 66 is called Foothill Blvd in Sunny Southern California. So, I drive it everyday. Speaking about driving long trips...I've driven cross country 3 times. Once in a '95 Mustang GT another in a '94 Honda Civic DX Hatchback and finally in a '99 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Extra cab. My Stook has driven cross country. Okay, with only 300 miles on her you might question that. Gloria was actually shipped in an enclosed carrier. As far as tips?? Take your time and bring lots of conversations. Parts of the country can be boring to see. Then again maybe it's because I've seen the same roads 3 different times. Good luck and have fun!
