Default Remove H badges question

Hi all,

I want replace the stock badges with Ricks S badges. Can you please tell me if I can use WD40 to melt the glue off instead of adhesive remover spray.

Thanks in advance.

Tim

I only tried wd-40 once on sticky stuff. It didn't work.
a good bet is to try a little heat when removing it... hopefully if it's not too old it won't leave any residue.

i use wd-40 and some heat together...
and used wd-40 to get the goo off after the badges came off.
the main thing that got it was dental floss.
just be sure to rewax after rebadging.
(btw, congrats on the new badges- ricks are my favs!)

I used dental floss. Then used rubbin alcohol to get rid of the sticky stuff. The front though pissed me off. Its held on by clips in the back. I just pulled the front H as hard as i could creating space, then cut if off with a knife!

Is the bodywork smooth behind the H badges and the side S2000s badges, or are there holes for something like rivets?

yup, the paint is finished- my recollection is that the only holes in the body are on the front where pins hold the badges. i just broke mine off to get the badge off.

So you couldn't remove the front H and not replace it w/o doing some body work?

The front and back have holes if you remove the H. The sides 's2000' are ok for removal.

At some point they started putting little clip holes at both the front or back, I have an '03 and did have holes, I know the early cars only had holes on the front.

I used GooGone on mine, just use a little of that and keep rubbing with your fingers at the glue it will come off pretty easily, after "sawing" at the back side of the emblems with dental floss

Here's an option.....
