Default removing badge on trunk

Hi,
I want to remove the rear H badge and replace with a red one, can anyone tell me how to do it. Is there is an easy way of doing it with out damaging the trunk?

thx,

It's held on by adhesives only. (The front is held on by adhesives and clips.) Just use dental floss or fishing line or the like to cut through the adhesive.

Use a spray first (adhesive remover) shoot, cant remember name, that helps to unglue part of it, and it wont damage paint. Then get dental floss and and put it uner the H and just wiggle and it should pop out with a little pressure behind the dental floss as well. Good luck!

This sure as heck is not true for an '02. Look at my Avatar, those 2 white dots are the plastic plugs in the trunk lid the rear badge plugs into.

Dental floss is what I'm sure the thiefs used on my car...

With my '00, both front and rear badges have those plastic posts. But only on the front badge are there clips that attach to the posts on the backside of the bumper. On the rears, the adhesive was the only thing holding the badge on - the posts are there for alignment only.

I wasn't aware that later models were different.

Same as in my car. The posts were only for alignment. I was able to use dental floss and some goo gone to remove the adhesive. The adhesive remover (goo gone or goof off) has to soak awhile, but eventually it all came off. No problems.

Heat gun/ hairdryer. HEat the badge for some time to losen/lift the glue then you can either gently pull on the badge or use fishing line/dental flos/ credit card to lift it off.

are the posts for the badges the same on all years? I know the MY02 got bigger badges. My 2001 got totalled but I recovered the red badges. will they go on my MY03?
