Removing Passenger Front Panel
You pull straight out towards the seat. It takes a lot of force. Don't be surprised if you end up breaking at least one of the six tabs. The first few times I pulled it out of there I didn't break anything, but the third or fourth time I did break one of them.

Sorry, I'd rather just pull over or lower it at a stop light than tear up my car. Seems pointless to me. I've never been going 20 mph had the overwhelming desire to lower my top and risk f-ing it up. Its made that way for a reason. I mean how hard is it to wait till you come to a complete stop? You're willing to destroy an inner panel because you're too impatient to stop?
I'm asking about removing a panel.
If you don't GET IT, then just move along.
Even if you do horribly crack that piece, one, who cares, you can't really see it, and two, its cheap to replace.
Also, its a great feature to have - you can operate the top at a crawl in traffic, without having to stop entirely.

I believe it is the black and white wire correct? which is the speed sensor wire. Which will allow me to one click the parking brake and allow me to raise/lower the top.
I see you moved.. (and got rid of the Lexus
)Hope all is well.. Weather must be a lot nicer than it was in Illinois
I sure did.
Weather is much nicer than Chicago. But it's been raining a lot lately. No snow and sub zero windchills though.
Thanks for the pic. I was pretty sure that was the wire, from what I could remember. Now if I can just get the darn cover off.... I'll have to look for this screw.

Those of you that live in big cities will understand.

tcho, the weather here in Chicago hasn't been actually too bad this past weekend. We hit 65 degrees
and 60 the following day. Unfortunately, it was raining most of the time. But not too bad, had my top down for the little time it wasnt raining. Good luck with getting the panel removed. It is a very helpful mod when your in slow moving traffic. Some of these people just don't understand the usefulness this mod can be.
And as for this comment Itswb made, must've never did a mod in his life or at least against it.
. You should proofread what you write so it doesn't come back to you.
